The Australian Democrats continue to offer an alternative to voters and are
standing candidates in two current elections, Mayo
in South Australia and the ACT Election.
- The by-election for the seat of Mayo is scheduled for 6 September 2008.
Andrew
Castrique is the Australian Democrats candidate and he has been attracting
some wide media coverage, see this link, especially regarding his challenge to fellow candidates
to debate the future of the Murray River. Andrew Castrique suggests that the bed of the Murray River might be a good location. Click

details.
- October 18th will see the ACT
go to the Polls. The Australian Democrats are off and running with candidates
in three electorates under the Keep the Bastards Honest banner.
In what may be a world-first in political campaigning, ACT Dems candidate
Greg Tannahill is involved this week in a unique gaming challenge in an exercise
in virtual government administration. Greg himself is a keen gamer and is an
enthusiastic advocate for this to gain appropriate government recognition.
