Tomorrow VOTE 1 Democrats

Why? We are not beholden to big business or the unions or chained to any extreme ideology or religion. We are a party that makes judgments based on what is fair and just and right.

We are the only minor party with practical policies across all platform areas and the only balance of power party willing and capable of working with whoever forms government to make laws better.

BRING BACK BALANCE!

PLEASE help us on ELECTION DAY

We are a small political party that relies on the generous support of our members and volunteers.

This election, more than ever, we need your help on election day handing out our How-to Vote cards.

If you want to help us BRING BACK BALANCE, let us know NOW by filling out our online form or calling 03 9416 1880.

But don’t just take OUR WORD for it

Many prominent Australians recognise the importance of the Democrats, particularly our role in the Senate. Some of those that have sent words of support include:

Frank Brennan, Phillip Adams, Helen Caldicott, David Bradbury, Anne Summers, Julian Burnside QC, Mary Crooks, Dur-e Dara OAM, Dr Nick Economou...and many more!

Bring Back Balance to our Senate

Tomorrow you have two decisions to make, one as important as the other. The next Government will be decided in the House of Reps, but its conscience will reside in the Senate.

The Australian Democrats have consistently fought for greater transparency and accountability in our democracy and we will continue to defend the role of the Senate as an independent house of review.

We are not beholden to big business or the unions or chained to any extreme ideology or religion. We are a party that makes judgments based on what is fair and just and right. We are the only minor party with comprehensive, practical policies across all platform areas and the only balance of power party willing and capable of working with whoever forms government to make laws better.

Yesterday we released our responses to the major election promises of the ALP and Coalition so you know what we will do in balance of power when they come into the Senate.
