International peace and security can only be achieved by strengthening international
institutions, building respect for human rights and promoting the rule of law.
The Democrats opposed the decision by the Prime Minister to go to war in Iraq,
however, the Democrats support Australian troops remaining in Iraq until the job
is done according to the UN.
