Youth Poll Is Back!
This year marks the return of an Australian Democrats tradition. For 16 years, the Australian Democrats produced Youth Poll to give young people a say on a variety of issues including education, health and employment. Youth Poll 2011 is here!
Young people, aged 15-20 have opinions and are impacted by decisions made in our parliaments. Although many people of that age are not yet old enough to vote, political parties should be aware of their concerns.
The Australian Democrats have re-launched our national Youth Poll, after an absence of over three years because we know the wide range of attitudes of young people matter.
Youth Poll 2011 will run from October 31, 2011 to January 31, 2012 and is open to all Australians aged 15-20 (except Executive members of the Australian Democrats).
Youth Poll 2011 is available here.
The results will be published in late February 2012 on this website.
As an incentive to participate, one lucky person will win an iPod Touch.
Youth Poll has previously found young peoples’ responses on issues such as same-sex marriage, rates of binge drinking; smoking and other drug use; body image; support for a republic; cyber-bullying; climate change; and affordability of education, employment and housing.
