The Australian Democrats have announced today that clinical and organisational psychologist Dr Paul Stevenson OAM has been appointed National Health Policy Coordinator.
Dr Stevenson brings to the role 36 years experience in Clinical and Organisational Psychology, and currently hold the position of National President of the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists. Specialising in helping people deal with trauma, Dr Stevenson has been on site for many of Australia's biggest tragedies from the Thredbo Landslide to the bombing of the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
Dr Stevenson will head a working group made up of ordinary members of the party who will work to develop insightful and inspired health policy for Australia's future.
Also appointed to policy working group coordinator roles this week are Canberra policy specialist and accountant Georgina Prasad to Pensioners and Aged Care, and irrigation specialist Gavin Chirgwin to Water.
The recently announced policy development process is part of the rebuild plan of The Australian Democrats.
