The incoming National President, Dr Aron Paul, indicated this week that he was enthusiastic about the future of the Australian Democrats. Speaking in Melbourne, the 30 year old political scientist said: "This is an exciting time for the Dems, full of possibilities." Dr Paul appealed to those who had been associated with the Democrats in the past to "come home to the Dems", and join in the challenge of confronting the issues that matter. Dr Paul said he hoped to travel around Australia to get to know more Democrat members.
