The incoming President of the Young Australian Democrats, Laura Chipp, indicated this week that she was quietly confident that the party would grow. Laura Chipp is a 22 year old law student and daughter of the late Don Chipp, founder of the Australian Democrats. Speaking in Melbourne, Ms Chipp says that she stands by her statement made at the beginning of the year, that "the Australian Democrats are still needed and we're determined to fight back. Ours is a dream too good to forget and a role too important to abandon".
