Our An economy for the future campaign platform is a far cry from the Coalition’s trickle-down-economics, tax breaks for the wealthy and big business, and handouts to fossil fuel mates. Our Economics Campaign team has done a great job.
Unlike either of the major parties, our plan is backed by solid evidence. We tell you the sources of that evidence too.
It tackles the big issues of tax reform, what needs to be done to stimulate the economy post-Covid, a fast transformation to very low greenhouse emissions (that doesn’t include more gas) and the infrastructure desperately needed for the power grid to function effectively on renewables.
We want a stable economy built on fair distribution of wealth, efficient revenue-raising, innovation, good jobs in worthwhile businesses and services.
