Call to action on Timor prosecutions

Witness K and his lawyer Bernard Collaery are accused by Government prosecutors of being a threat to national security. Why? Because they blew the whistle on Australia’s shameful behaviour in spying on the East Timorese Prime Minister’s cabinet rooms during the oil and gas negotiations.

In other words our Government indulged in espionage in order to rob the people of East Timor. Now the Attorney General is using the prosecution of these courageous individuals to warn others off taking such action.

Please send a strong message to Christian Porter, Attorney General, urging him to drop the prosecutions and reminding him that he has the power to do so.

See here for message from The Hon John Dowd, president of ICJ Australia (and former NSW shadow Attorney General for the Liberal Party) and its Timor Sea Justice Forum.

And please forward this message to your networks.
