Luke Pullar

I am concerned about the political landscape and realise that we need to stand up for the interests of the people. Entering politics was never a big dream of mine but if somebody needs to take stand, then it may as well be me.

I live with my wife and youngest child (the oldest is serving in the army) in the Moreton Bay region and been a resident of Brisbane for over 10 years. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast I found that a strong community has benefits for everyone and I’m keen to build on that.

Luke was first employed at McDonalds aged 14. For the last two decades he has developed training, primarily for the Defence industry, and various government agencies. He worked on a wide variety of technologies, processes and audiences and the New Generation Rollingstock trains in south-east of Queensland, the Air Warfare Destroyer ship, revisions to aviation flight rules across Australia, and on the short-lived MRH90 Army (Taipan) helicopter.

A long-time renter, Luke now has a mortgage on a very modest home and understands the plight that many face with cost of living and the rapidly escalating price of properties.

The Labor/Liberal duopoly seem more invested in serving their own interests and those of corporate donors than making it easier for the people who elected them into parliament.

I am a proud member of The Australian Democrats (as the Secretary of the Queensland division) and am running for a seat in the Senate as I believe it is essential to Keeping The Bastards Honest.”
