Chris Simpson is former builder and building project manager, who was part of the team that ran for the Senate in Queensland in 2022, and was our spokesperson on housing. He is representing the Australian Democrats in the by election of Fadden, called when the current member Stuart Robert resigned earlier this year.
Chris is one of 13 candidates contesting the by election, and he joined Elana Mitchell and Steve Baty to discuss what has driven him to put his hand up not once but twice to represent the Australian Democrats in elections, but also the kind of Australia he sees as a migrant and the child of migrants, what kind of country we can be.
